The Union County Animal Protection Society will have its Patriotic Pet Show and Contest as part of El Dorado’s Fantastic Fourth Celebration today at the Union County Fairgrounds.

The show will begin at 6 p.m. in the activities building at the fairgrounds. Categories include largest, smallest, most unusual, most spots/colors, pet/owner look-a-like, best trick, friendliest, cutest, most creative costuming and most patriotic.

The entry fee is a $1 donation to sign up per category and entrants may enter as many categories as they wish.
