The economic future of Arkansas is bright, according to Rotary speaker Randy Zook, the deputy director of administration and finance for the Arkansas Economic Development Commission. Zook said $1.7 billion in capital investments for industry have been made this year in the Natural State.

Zook said, “All of Arkansas is doing well in economic development. The unemployment rate for Arkansas is 4.7 percent, which is lower than the national rate of more than 5 percent. We’ve landed some terrific businesses, too.”
