SMACKOVER – Smackover is gearing up for the 37th annual Oil Town Festival, beginning June 18 and running through June 21.

“We’re real excited about the whole thing,” said Smackover Mayor Bobby Neal. “We had the duck race for the first time last year, and I think we’ll have a whole lot of people back for that. Then with the 5K Oil Run, that always draws a lot of people, and I’ll be around helping get all that organized. My favorite’s the bass tournament, though.”
