Walk-ins are welcome to attend the Breast Friends Cancer Support Group meeting at 5:30 p.m. Monday at St. Mary’s Parish Hall on Madison St. according to the group coordinator Tina Roark.

This is the ninth year of this cancer support group which is open to any cancer survivor or interested person.

The group of about 25 has a variety of yearly activities in the community.

The group participates in Relay for Life, a fund raiser for cancer research.
