JUNCTION CITY – The Junction City Council met in regular session on Thursday, with Police Chief Lloyd Falcon reporting to the council that the town’s new stop light is in service.

Falcon also reported that his radar speed detection unit has malfunctioned, and that he is unable to issue speeding citations.

Following Falcon’s briefing, the council voted to purchase the police department a new stationary radar unit at the cost of $1,195.

Falcon and Mayor Larry Carter also informed the council that they are seeking to lower speed limits in Junction City.
