Kiwanis Club members were treated to a moving account of the life of African-American leader Mary McLeod Bethune, thanks to guest speaker Dorothy Mains Price, at their Wednesday afternoon meeting.

Price, who is in South Arkansas for the Natural State Chautauqua at the Arkansas Museum of Natural Resources in Smackover, is the founder of Sojourns LLC, an enterprise designed to bring the lives of outstanding African-American women to students and community organizations around the country. Bethune is one of the women portrayed by Price during Chautauqua.
