Mystic Creek Golf Course and Development, a project first proposed in 2006 by Pete Parks, will soon come to fruition, the local developer told the News-Times in a recent interview.

Mystic Creek, consisting of more than 500 acres, will include a 200-acre, 72-par design golf course and five lakes. The course will be designed by famed golf course designer Ken Dyes of the architectural firm Finger, Dye and Spann of Houston. Dye has received accolades in several national golf publications for his design techniques, Parks said.
