EL DORADO – Two local educators recently received recognition for excellence in service to the educational community.

Arkansas Head Start recognized Emma Webster as the 2008 Outstanding Teacher of the Year, and Betty Andrews as the 2008 Outstanding Teacher Aide of the Year at an awards ceremony held May 7 at the Arkansas Head Start Institute’s annual meeting, which was held at the Best Western Inn of The Ozarks in Eureka Springs.

In addition to having careers in the same field, Webster and Andrews are also sisters.
