EL DORADO – August Wilson “Moot” Mouton, served in the United States Air Corp during World War II in England and Germany. He was attached to the newly created United States Air Force after World War II and volunteered to assist a mission to photograph the continent of Africa. These photographs were used by the Air Force for detailed reference maps, and some of them are still being used today.

Upon the completion of his tour of duty, he moved to El Dorado and started a Studebaker dealership with his brother-in-law, Milton Green. He married Flo Pratt in 1947 and the two soon welcomed...
