A 17-year-old Strong youth has been charged as an adult after a weekend robbery at Jade Super Foods store in Strong.

Cody Ridgeway, a former store employee, was charged on Monday with aggravated robbery, a Class Y felony. He’s being held at the Union County Jail on a $25,000 cash bond.

If convicted, Ridgeway could face up to 40 years in the Arkansas Department of Correction.

According to authorities, Ridgeway hid inside the store for several hours last Friday and waited until closing time before making his move.
