Union County Election Commission chairman Randy Haynie said on Wednesday that he was pleased with the voter turnout in Tuesday’s preferential primary elections, and he expressed gratitude to poll workers for “all of their hard work. We really appreciate them.”

The election commission met briefly on Wednesday to discuss vote certification, which is scheduled for Friday.
