A temporary reduction in water rates is a concession the El Dorado Water Utilities made for Pilgrim’s Pride last month, and consideration for other large-user customers who fall within the same tier as Pilgrim’s was tabled Tuesday.

During a regular meeting of the El Dorado Water and Sewer Commission, Larry Waldrop, general manager of the EWU, said he was surprised to learn that there are 256 EWU accounts in which customers use at least 10,000 gallons of water per month.
