El Dorado woman found not guilty of second degree battery in Union County Circuit Court
Tonya Burns, 37, of El Dorado, was found not guilty of second degree battery Monday in Union County Circuit Court. A jury of 12 members took less than 30 minutes to decide the verdict. Burns was originally on trial for battery in the second degree and a terroristic act, but due to a motion made by Defense Attorney Robert Jeffrey, the terroristic act charge was thrown out.
