The Union County Local Emergency Planning Committee met briefly on Tuesday to discuss their upcoming mass casualty exercise, scheduled for late September or early October. A firm date was not set. Yancey Kyle, LEPC member and director of the Union County Office of Emergency Management, told the committee that “a lot of time and effort has been involved” with planning the exercise, and that it should “adequately test our abilities.”

Kyle said the scenario could include a fictional tour bus crash with between six and 12 casualties.
