SMACKOVER – Tonya Jackson and Jesse Amason of the UCAPS-affiliated Cat Rescue project addressed the Smackover City Council during its regular session meeting on Monday, according to Mayor Bobby Neal.

Jackson and Amason informed the council of the house they keep for stray cats and offered their services to the city in the event that stray cats captured in Smackover are turned away from the Union County Animal Protection Society.
