The El Dorado Historic District Commission approved Thursday a Certificate of Appropriateness for proposed improvements to the Murphy Building on North Jefferson.

Brett Williamson, of the Murphy Oil Foundation and superintendent of the building, discussed the proposed work, along with architect Larry Kirchner and project manager Shawn Carroll.

COAs are required from the EHDC before any work is done to the exterior of buildings within the Commercial Historic District.
