Extradition was approved Thursday for the man who has been charged in the 1992 murder of El Dorado business owner Billy Ponder.

James Edward Clemons, 45, of Mosinee, Wis., had refused to waive extradition to Arkansas to face charges of capital murder and aggravated robbery during a court hearing in March, but a warrant was signed by Wisconsin Gov. Jim Doyle and extradition was granted during a second court hearing held Thursday in Wasau County, Wis., officials there said.
