Paul A. Wadlington Jr., 42, of El Dorado, was sentenced to 25 years in the Arkansas Department of Correction Thursday after pleading no contest to an amended charge of second degree murder in the July 2007 death of Lisa Ponder Cupples.

Wadlington also entered a plea of no contest to possession of a firearm by a certain person before Circuit Judge Hamilton Singleton and was sentenced to an additional 10 years in the ADC during a session of Union County Circuit Court.
