United Way awards grants to 15 organizations

The United Way of Union County has awarded 15 local organizations a total of $110,000 in Community Impact grants for 19 different programs and services, according to Executive Director Alexis Alexander. The non-profit groups were recognized at an awards reception on Tuesday.

The United Way of Union County’s Community Impact grant program aims to maximize donor contributions by funding programs in the community to meet additional health and human service needs. UWUC has committed more than $500,000 to the program since it started in 2003.
