Candidates who recently tested for entry level positions for the El Dorado Police and Fire Departments made a strong showing, El Dorado Civil Service commissioners noted Monday.

Commissioner Martin Machen inquired about the need for possible retesting, and commission chairman Richard Pumphrey said the chief of either department could request it if the need arises.

“That depends on the number of vacancies down the road, but they both should be in good shape,” Pumphrey said.
