Rape charges have been formally filed against a Union County man suspected of having sexual contact with a 13-year-old Magnolia girl.

Robin Carroll, 13th Judicial District prosecuting attorney, filed the charges against Dustin Lloyd Rowland, 21, of El Dorado on Friday. The Union County Sheriff’s Office arrested Rowland on April 30.

If convicted, he could face up to 40 years in the Arkansas Department of Correction.
