El Dorado resident Jennifer Mathews said her neighborhood on the city’s west side has been jolted recently by a neighbor who, for several days, has fired off gunshots in a wooded area behind her residence.

Even more shocking for Mathews was learning that her neighbor is apparently not violating a city ordinance that regulates the discharge of firearms within city limits.
