Galion O. Hall will address the Union County Genealogical Society at 2 p.m. on Sunday at Barton Library in El Dorado. Everyone is invited to attend.

He will discuss the early history of Souls Chapel Church of Christ, where he has served as minister since 1972. Souls Chapel Church came into existence in 1836 as a Methodist Episcopal Church. In 1888, it was organized as a Church of Christ.

Hall, a native of Virginia, was in the military service for 20 years.

He served all over the Pacific Ocean, in Korea, Vietnam, Germany and also in the United States.
