Union County District Court judge speaks to Rotarians about court functions, operations



Union County District Court Judge George Van Hook Jr. is seeking his fifth term for the nonpartisan, judicial post, and he spoke to the El Dorado Rotary Club Monday about some of the operations and functions that fall under the auspices of his court.

Van Hook addressed a misconception that UCDC is a part-time court, saying that even though he only began receiving full-time pay in January, he has performed a full-time job for part-time pay since 1998.
