• El Dorado police responded Thursday to a report of a stabbing at Pine Tree Motel, 1510 E. Hillsboro. A witness told police that a man stabbed John Stephens Jr., in the chest and left arm on the parking lot of the motel and ran south. The witness said the suspect accused Stephens of having an affair with his wife. A witness told police that Stephens knocked on his door, and there was blood “all over his shirt.” The witness said Stephens told him that a man he knew cut him during an argument. Stephens was treated and released from MCSA.
