The El Dorado City Council will convene for a regular meeting at 5:30 p.m. today in the Council Chamber of City Hall.

Aldermen will hear the third reading of a proposed ordinance that would tighten up the city’s general sign ordinance. The proposal would add definitions of signs to the ordinance, require the purchase of a sign permit and include other housecleaning items, such as combining all the revisions that have been made to the general sign ordinance in recent years.
