Several generations of El Dorado’s former students have fond memories of Jo McCall, 94, a retired teacher and the former director of the district’s English and reading programs, and thanks to her new book, “God’s Plan for Ms. Jo,” many future generations will also have the opportunity to experience her wit and passion for storytelling.

The book details McCall’s teaching career from its humble beginnings in a one-room schoolhouse in Tennessee to its final stages in El Dorado High School, she said.
