Volunteer firefighters thrilled with new truck
![]() New Truck The Strong Volunteer Fire Department will hold a special training session next week to learn how to utilize the truck’s many accessories. For the Sunday News STRONG – Most people would agree that 46 years is a long time to wait, and perhaps that’s why the 15-man crew of the Strong Volunteer Fire Department feel a little like children at Christmas when they look at their brand new fire truck - they have, after all, been waiting since 1962 to receive the fire engine red tanker-pumper truck that now graces their station.
