MAGNOLIA — Hundreds of residents and college students returned to their homes late Friday following their evacuation because of a train derailment.

The residents and students at nearby Southern Arkansas University were ordered to evacuate about 4 p.m. Friday as crews worked to clear a derailment involving tank cars filled with poisonous liquid chlorine. The cars derailed about 9 a.m.

No chlorine leaked, but the evacuation was ordered as a precaution while the clean-up took place. No ...
