The Union County Industrial Board (UCIB) voted on Thursday to sell land it owns on South Washington Street to the City of El Dorado for $195,150.

The land includes a vacant lot and three buildings.

UCIB Executive Vice President Don Wales said that the original purpose for owning the land “was so that we could wait for the day when someone wanted to buy it.”

The board purchased the land for $181,000 in 2005 and agreed to give the owner a $4,000 relocation check.
