El Dorado woman to spend 91st birthday in Haiti, continuing 30-year mission of providing essential services to children

A 91st birthday is always a momentous occasion and many seniors spend that day at home with family and friends eating birthday cake and opening presents.

But not Frances Landers of El Dorado.

She plans to spend her 91st birthday climbing the remote mountains of Southern Haiti to continue her 30-year mission of providing schools, food, clothing and medicines to the poverty stricken children in Haiti who wander aimlessly with blank stares and bloated stomachs.
