Crime Stoppers program to be rebooted in city

It’s going to take the entire community pulling together to make El Dorado a safer place to live, work and enjoy.

To work toward that goal, the El Dorado Police Department and board of directors for the El Dorado Crime Stoppers program held a press conference Wednesday to announce the rebooting of the program and to kick-off a campaign drive to fund it.

Police Chief Ricky Roberts led the press conference, saying that when a criminal case is not solved within a reasonable length of time, it becomes more difficult for law enforcement to close.
