With diesel prices currently standing at $3.99 a gallon in El Dorado, Union County’s six public school districts are feeling the pinch at the pump as they struggle to continue transporting their students without exceeding their allotted budgets. Just four weeks ago, the El Dorado School District, the largest in the county, had already exceeded its fuel budget for this year by $27,000, said Bob Watson, superintendent.
