NORPHLET – The Norphlet City Council met in regular session on Monday to discuss damages caused by recent heavy rains, according to Mayor Jim Crotty.

The council discussed upgrading water lines in the city’s water system, Crotty said. Also discussed was the replacement of a water system check valve. Crotty said he hopes to have both issues resolved by next month’s meeting.

Also, the council discussed repairing and patching several roads damaged recently during inclement weather.
