The Union County Election Commission certified Friday the results of a special election held this week for the Strong-Huttig School District.

Finding no changes in the original numbers, commissioners certified the results in the defeat Tuesday of a proposed 4.5 school millage that would have been used for improvements to school facilities.

Strong-Huttig voters soundly rejected the measure with 348 votes against and 181 in favor.
