The local Arkansas National Guard Family Readiness group has two upcoming events to raise funds for care packages for troops serving in Iraq.

A chicken spaghetti lunch is set for 11 a.m. to 2 p.m. April 25 at the National Guard Armory, 413 Industrial Road, El Dorado. The cost is $5 per plate.

The dinners will include chicken spaghetti, green beans, bread and a dessert. Deliveries are available for orders of five or more.

The group will have a garage sale from 8 a.m. to 2 p.m. on May 3 hosted by the American Legion, 105 Christian Drive, El Dorado.
