• Shemaka Smith, 29, of El Dorado, was arrested by El Dorado police on Friday for theft of public benefits over $2,500 and contempt of court. She is being held on a $2,500 bond and a $739 bond.

• LaTosha Brown, 30, of El Dorado, was arrested on Friday for theft of public benefits over $2,500 and resisting arrest. She is being held on a $10,000 bond and a $600 bond.

According to an EPD report, Brown became violent and fought with officers as they were attempting to take her into custody.
