News-Times Staff Three young men on a cross-country running trip made their way through El Dorado on Thursday. New York natives Andrew Wahila, Matthew Durkin and Ken Stannard, all 23, left from Tybee Island, Ga., on Feb. 1. Thirty-five days into their westbound journey, the friends made their way from Strong to El Dorado. “We’ve just hit the 800-mile mark. We’re cruisin’ along,” said Stannard. “We usually cover about 25 miles a day,” said Durkin. “Today we did 17. It was a shorter day.” The friends have spent over a...
