SMACKOVER – Attorney James E. McMenis will seek the office of state representative, District 7, he announced in a news release.

The district includes the Union-Ouachita communities of Smackover, Three Creeks, Wesson, Parkers Chapel, Junction City, Urbana, Lawson, Calion, Moro Bay, Old Union, Norphlet, Louann, Elliott, Joyce City, Frenchport, Buena Vista, East Camden, Kent, Eagle Mills and Harmony Grove.

McMenis will be a candidate in the Democratic Primary for state and local officials to be held on Tuesday, May 20.
