    Elsie P. Halsford, 83, of Hermitage, Pa., and formerly of El Dorado, died at 9 p.m. on Tuesday, Oct. 7, 2008, at UPMC Presbyterian Hospital in Pittsburgh, Pa., after a brief illness.
  • RUBY M. WILLIAMS
    Ruby Margaret Williams went home to be with her Lord and Savior Jesus Christ on Oct. 6, 2008.
  • IVY SANDIFER
    Ivy Sandifer, 58, died Wednesday, Oct. 8, 2008, at Medical Center of South Arkansas.
  • MAXINE SAPP
    Maxine Sapp, 73, of Magnolia, died Tuesday, Oct. 7, 2008, at St. Vincent’s Hospital in Little Rock.

    Funeral for Travis Jackson Vinson, 80, of Marysville, will be at 2 p.m. today at Marysville United Methodist Church.
  • MARDELL W. SMITH
    Funeral for Mardell Willis Smith, 72, of El Dorado, will be at 2 p.m. today at Cross Life Church with Dr. Dwain Miller officiating. Burial will be in Philadelphia Cemetery under the direction of Young’s Funeral Directors.
  • DILMUS O. SWEENEY JR.
    A memorial service for Dilmus Olen “Bill” Sweeney Jr., 74, of El Dorado, will be at 3 p.m. today at Young’s Chapel with the Rev. Bill Dillon officiating and under the direction of Young’s Funeral Directors.
