Fannie Lee Thompson, 82, of El Dorado, died Thursday, July 31, 2008, at Medical Center of South Arkansas.

The daughter of James and Henrietta Watson Talley, she was born Sept. 11, 1925, in Spearsville, La. She joined Olive Branch Missionary Baptist Church at an early age, where she served as Deaconess, and was a member of the Sanctuary Choir and Circle Esther.

She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband, Calvin Mitchell Sr.; two sons, Calvin Mitchell Jr., and Larry White; two sisters, Clora Conley and Loraine Bluford; three brothers, Curley Talley, Sandy Talley, and James Talley.

Survivors include her husband, O.T. Thompson; seven sons, Alvin Mitchell, James Mitchell, Jimmy Mitchell, Roy Mitchell, Richard Williams, Kenneth Williams, and Eddie Lyons, all of El Dorado; one daughter, Earnestine White of El Dorado; one sister, Christene Snowden of Phoenix; one step-son, C.H. Thompson of St. Louis, Mo.; one step-daughter, Dorothy Thompson of El Dorado; 41 grandchildren; 60 great-grandchildren; and two great-great-grandchildren.

Funeral will be held at 11 a.m. today at Olive Branch Missionary at Trinity Baptist Church, 1400 Trinity St., El Dorado, with the Rev. Eugene J. Farley Sr. officiating.

Burial will be in Arlington Memorial Garden under the direction of Sims Mortuary.

Visitation will be held from 8:30 until 9:30 a.m. today at the funeral home.
