Joann Chappel, 55, of Tampa, Fla., formerly of Magnolia, died on Tuesday, June 10, 2008, in Tampa.

An operations manager with Old Navy, she was a 1971 graduate of Magnolia High School. She was the daughter of the late J.D. and Verda Jameson of Magnolia.

Survivors include her husband, Billy Ray Chappel of Magnolia; her daughter, Erica Queary-Davis (Ror) of Tampa; six sisters, Olivia Love, Deborah Jameson, Sharon Watson, Wanda Hunter, and Wanda and Sherry Jameson, all of Magnolia; two brothers, J.D. and S.P. Jameson of Magnolia; three grandchildren, Mechala, Eriq and Kamrawn of Tampa; 15 nieces and nephews and a host of other relatives and friends.

Funeral will be at 3 p.m. today at First Baptist Church in Magnolia with the Rev. Robert Sharp officiating. Interment will be in West Cemetery under the direction of Henderson Funeral Service in Magnolia.
