Devon Baker, 65 of Magnolia, Arkansas died Friday, June 13, 2008 at the Health South Rehab in Ruston, Louisiana.

He was born December 13, 1942 in Columbia County, Arkansas to the late Robert Steve and Melba Myra (Eads) Baker. Devon was a member of the Brister Baptist Church and enjoyed horseback riding.

He was preceded in death by his parents, sister, Sylvia Hight and grandson, Dustin Baker.

Survivors are his wife, Linda Baker of Magnolia; sons, Michael Baker and wife Jacque of Emerson and Stevie Baker and wife Cindy of Emerson; daughter, Janeen Henderson of Magnolia; step daughter, Sharon Story and husband Paul of El Dorado; step sons, Michael Sharp and wife Melana of Richmond, Kentucky and Charles Sharp and wife Angie of Magnolia; sister, Margie Otwell; brothers, Prentice Dale Baker and Robert Baker; numerous grandchildren, several nieces and nephews; longtime caregiver, Ronnie Hilliard.

Funeral will be Sunday, June 15, 2008 at 2:00 p.m. at Lewis Chapel with Bro. Eric Goble officiating. Burial will follow at Smyrna Cemetery under the direction of Lewis Funeral Home, Inc. of Magnolia. Visitation will be Sunday from 12:00 p.m. until service time at the funeral home.

Pallbearers will be Gene Snider, Bud Husky, Rodney Maloch, Randy Gunnels, Paul Story, and David Shackelford. Honorary pallbearers will Ernie Denham, Rodney Snider, Wayne Johnson and Don Moore.

Memorials may be made to the John R. Williamson Hospice House in El Dorado, Arkansas or the Brister Baptist Church Building Fund, Emerson, Arkansas.
