Jane Ellen, 79, of El Dorado, died Thursday, June 12, 2008, at Medical Center of South Arkansas.

She was born Oct. 25, 1928, in Gillham, to Wilson Compton and Enree Flanniken Compton. She was a homemaker and a member of Immanuel Baptist Church, the Adult II Faith Sunday School Class and Unbirthday Club.

Preceding her in death are her parents; her husband, Jodie Ellen; sisters, Pauline Brogden and Virginia Compton; and a brother, Horace Compton.

Survivors include her son, Philip Ellen.

Funeral will be at 2 p.m. Saturday at Young’s Chapel with Kay Ruddell officiating. Burial will be in Old Three Creeks Cemetery under the direction of Young’s Funeral Directors.

Visitation will be from 6 to 8 p.m. today at the funeral home.
