Dwight Edward Cook, 65, of Calion, died June 3, 2008, at Medical Center of South Arkansas.

The son of Tyree and Essie Ramey Cook, he was born Oct. 22, 1942. He was a member of Willow Grove Baptist Church in Calion. He was a veteran of the U.S. Air Force and was retired from Calion Lumber Co.

He was preceded in death by his father, Tyree Cook; and his stepfather, O.B. Coleman.

Survivors include his wife, Juanita Cook of Calion; two sons, Dwight Cook and his wife, Renee, of Calion, and Odis Cook of Dallas; his mother, Essie Colesman; and two grandchildren, Lexis Cook and Jackson Cook of Calion.

Funeral will be held at 11 a.m. Saturday, June 7, at Willow Grove Baptist Church in Calion with the Rev. Kenneth Juniel officiating. Burial will follow in Rest Haven Cemetery in Norphlet under the direction of Andrews Funeral Home of El Dorado.

Viewing will be held from 1 until 5 p.m. today and from 8 until 9:30 a.m. Saturday at the funeral home.
