Daryl LaDale “Fresh” Ford, 39, of El Dorado, died Monday, May 19, 2008, at the University of Arkansas for Medical Sciences in Little Rock.

He was born July 19, 1968, in El Dorado, and was the son of Silas Ford and Mary Ward Ford. He was a 1986 graduate of Strong High School and a member of Living Word Ministry of Strong. He was employed as a truck driver at 3-M Trucking.

He was preceded in death by his father and his stepfather, Jefferson Holyfield Sr.

Survivors include his wife, Carleen Ford of El Dorado; one son, Robert Evans of El Dorado; two daughters, O’Necia Ford of El Dorado and Ashley J. Ford of Strong; his mother and stepfather, Mary D. Clark and Louis Clark of Strong; eight brothers, Harold Ward of El Dorado, Ronni Smith and Jefferson Holyfield Jr. of Crossett, Curtis Hillard of Clarksdale, Charles Todd of Lake Village, Larry Burk of Little Rock, Larry Sederson Jr., of Las Vegas and Kerisyn Criswell of Atlanta, Ga.; 10 sisters, Linda Ford of El Dorado, Loretta Willis and Wanda Ford of Strong, Julia Downs of Smackover, Lois Walker of Hampton, Glenda Darzy, Linda Gilbert and Brenda Burns of Crossett, Betty Smith of Summerfield, La., and Con’Cettia Olive of Bastrop, La.

Funeral will be at 2:30 p.m. Saturday at Curry Chapel A.M.E. Church in Strong with the Rev. Charles R. Henry officiating. Burial will be in Wards Chapel Cemetery in Strong under the direction of Andrews Funeral Home.

Public viewing will be held from 1 to 5 p.m. today and from 8 a.m. to 1 p.m. Saturday at the funeral home.
