After surveys and plenty of discussions, El Dorado has a new themeline – “We Promise.”

This whole process has left many uneasy and frustrated and there are some legitimate concerns about the process. Some wanted to keep the “Arkansas’ Original Boomtown” theme. Others, apparently the majority, wanted “City of Promise.” Questions were raised about how the surveys were conducted and the percentage of votes that came from certain IP addresses.

Ultimately, the task force charged with selecting the themeline went with “We Promise.”
