Oil prices dropped by more than $10 a barrel Monday, pushing prices below $100 .

The NYMEX gas market went down 28 cents Monday and the cash market, 17 cents. And we’re told Lion Oil posted a price in the $2.80 range Tuesday morning.

Around Arkansas, the normally higher spots such as Springdale and Rogers, posted prices of $3.17 and $3.22, respectively, Monday evening.

Here at home Tuesday morning, gas was still in the $3.65 range. It’s amazing how those prices shoot up at the hint of a crisis – and stay that way even as market conditions shift.
