Planning to hold a garage sale to get rid of some household treasures? El Dorado residents should execute their plans wisely or they may find themselves spending the money earned from such efforts on fines and court costs.

El Dorado’s code enforcement officers are committed to combating neighborhood blight in all forms – and that includes litter – specifically yard/garage sale signs and nuisance signs and garbage cans that are left by the curb for longer than 24 hours. Citations for such violations are now being issued under a zero-tolerance policy.
