Congratulations once again to the HealthWorks Hurricanes swim team.

The team’s efforts contributed to the overall placement of Arkansas’ team, which placed third out of 28 teams from around the U.S. and world, at the AAU Junior Olympics held July 27-Aug. 2 in Detroit.

A team from Maryland won first and a team from Saudi Arabia won second. The third place finish is a new record for the state team, which consisted of 45 swimmers.

Eighteen swimmers from El Dorado were a part of Arkansas’ team, which was significant for participant ratio around the state.
